21 January 2021 – Trade association Dutch Data Center Association (DDA) and Digital Gateway to Europe present the Datacenter Platform. A centralized platform that features all relevant data center players and its supporting suppliers, active in the Benelux and elsewhere.
Due to the growing digitization – and the growth of data centers as a result of that – there’s a need for trusted, industry-based information. Datacenterplatform.com is a freely accessible database by the industry, for the industry, that enriches data center knowledge by providing up-to-date expertise and connections within the industry.
Stijn Grove, Managing Director of DDA, emphasizes that the Datacenterplatform, which was launched at KickStart Europe 2021, is only the beginning: “Our global economy is now a digital economy, and relies fully on data centers. With the continuous growth rate of the industry worldwide, finding the right information and connections is becoming more complex. Indeed, we have noticed in our network that there is high demand for a platform that centralizes relevant and up-to-date information. As a trade association, it is our mission to answer the needs of the industry. We are therefore proud to present Datacenterplatform, made for the industry, by the industry!”
The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg are the starting point of the platform. In time, the platform will cover all of Europe and there are also plans for a global roll-out.
Datacenterplatform includes several features that are relevant for both data center operators, and for their customers and suppliers. In addition to the extensive industry database, users can easily compare and contact parties with the quotation tool. Furthermore, users can discover relevant country insights such as information on the availability of power, networks and internet exchanges. Industry trends are also a key feature of the platform. For that reason, many publications, webinars and videos will be freely accessible on the platform.
What differentiates Datacenterplatform from other industry platforms, is the transparency of the information. Grove: “Transparency is a key value for the DDA and its network. Datacenterplatform is community based, where knowledge sharing is encouraged. In accordance with our mission to accelerate industry growth, we are going to keep it that way, by providing an open platform.”
Datacenterplatform wants to extend its community further, therefore invites parties to join in via a partnership with the platform. DDA participants and partners enjoy an additional benefit: they get a Premium partnership by default, which offers interesting possibilities for profile enrichment and advertising.
