Successful online release ‘State of the Dutch Data Centers 2020’ market report

Yesterday, the DDA held an online knowledge and networking event to officially launch its annual ‘State of the Dutch Data Centers’ market report.
 
During his presentation, Stijn Grove (Managing Director DDA) shared the most important insights from the report, ranging from sustainability efforts of the sector to the growth expectations and challenges of the DDA members. The recent developments in the Amsterdam region and around the Covid-19 crisis where also discussed. Lastly, The Netherlands was compared with the other European hubs.
 
Mitul Patel, Head of EMEA research at CBRE, presented the developments and growth expectations in the European data center markets, and his insights into newly emerging data hubs in Europe. He also shed some light on the effects of Covid-19 on the construction and supply chain.
 

The presentations where followed by a panel session, in which Peter Vermeulen (Pb7 Research) joined the previous two speakers. For the State of the Dutch Data Centers 2020, Peter Vermeulen did a comparative research on the Netherlands as an attractive location for data centers in comparison to the FLAP+D markets.
