STULZ invests in new production facility for liquid cooling solutions at Hamburg headquarters

Through this broadened and strengthened strategic partnership, Schneider Electric and NVIDIA continue to intensify their infrastructure initiatives. The substantial expansion at the current location underlines the company’s strategic focus on responding to the growing demand for advanced cooling systems for high-performance computing and AI-driven data centers.

Close cooperation between STULZ’s R&D, product management and service departments, fluid communication, precise coordination and streamlined workflows allow the company to accelerate innovations in liquid cooling. This ensures more efficient processes and a shorter time-to-market. Equally important, it enables us to support customers, planners and refrigeration experts worldwide even better.

‘Liquid cooling offers a highly effective solution for efficiently dissipating heat from sensitive IT equipment in modern data centers,’ said Jörg Desler, Global Director Technology at STULZ GmbH. ‘Liquid cooling solutions must therefore meet the highest standards, using carefully tested materials, modern quality management, efficient production processes and qualified and experienced personnel. We are proud to have already achieved this in Hamburg and are building on it with our new production facility.’

STULZ offers a comprehensive range of liquid cooling solutions tailored to the diverse needs of advanced data centers. The offering includes individually configurable complete systems, advanced chillers with Free Cooling for improved energy efficiency, and innovative micro-modular data center products for scalable high-density applications. Developed for optimum performance and durability, these technologies ensure precise temperature control and maximum reliability.

One of the key products benefiting from increased production capacity is the CyberCool CMU refrigeration distribution unit. This unit allows users to precisely control both the facility water system and the technology cooling system within a liquid cooling infrastructure. This allows better management of refrigerant flow rates, temperatures and pressures. And that boosts overall system efficiency.

Available in two versions, the CyberCool CMU can be customized to meet specific project requirements, with continuously variable output power up to 1380 kW. The CyberCool CMU is manufactured in Hamburg and then delivered to customers in EMEA and the US. The rest of the world is served by other STULZ production facilities. The development of new models and additional sizes is in full swing, supported by investments in the Hamburg location to further strengthen this strategically important pillar and ensure sustainable employment for our valued personnel.

Jörg Desler: ‘With this expansion of our production capacity, we underline our commitment to Hamburg and create a new basis for growth, innovation and sustainable employment, also in the face of international competition. The development of liquid cooling for high-performance computing and AI-driven data centers is a core part of our strategy to increase our technological edge and keep our quality and service at top level.’
