NorthC, a leading regional data center company in Northwest Europe, has completed the acquisition of six data centers from Colt Technology Services. Effective September 1, 2025, NorthC will assume operational responsibility for locations in Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Düsseldorf in Germany, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
This acquisition significantly strengthens NorthC’s presence in both the Benelux and DACH regions. The platform will be expanded with more than 25 megawatts of additional capacity. With five new locations in Germany, in addition to the two existing ones, national coverage will be achieved. Additional capacity will also be added in the Amsterdam metropolitan area, an important hub within NorthC’s network of regional data centers.
NorthC also plans to further expand its connectivity ecosystem to respond to the growing need for low-latency solutions, as required in AI data centers.
A solid foundation
NorthC has proven itself as a reliable provider of colocation solutions, with a strong focus on regional presence, scalable and sustainable infrastructure, and outstanding technical expertise, combined with a personal approach.
With the transfer on September 1, the acquired locations will be integrated into the NorthC platform and adapted to NorthC’s operational, quality, and service standards. This will give customers access to NorthC’s digital services, including the MyNorthC self-service portal.
NorthC will also continue to invest in expanding capacity and increasing efficiency and sustainability at the new locations. This will allow customers to benefit from the same high standards as in all other NorthC data centers.
Alexandra Schless, CEO of NorthC Group, says:
“Today marks an important milestone in our mission to become the regional data center platform in Northwest Europe. The integration of these six strategic locations accelerates our growth, particularly in Germany. This enables us to support customers in all major urban areas with scalable, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure.”
Regional and cross-border solutions
The acquired data centers are located in regions with strong connectivity and a growing need for digital infrastructure. This expansion enables NorthC to better support organizations with cross-border activities, such as international companies, cloud and IT providers, and public institutions.
As part of the transaction, Colt Technology Services will remain a customer in the acquired data centers. This ensures continuity and strengthens the collaboration between the two companies.
Schless continues:
“We are committed to a smooth transition for all customers. In addition, we want to offer added value through our expert teams, both in terms of technology and customer support.”
