Digital Realty appoints Annemarie Brandsen as Director of Marketing Europe North. Based in Amsterdam, she will lead the marketing team in the region. Furthermore, Brandsen will focus on strengthening the brand position and accelerating growth in Northern Europe, with marketing playing an important role in positioning towards enterprise customers and in the field of AI applications.
Annemarie has extensive experience in marketing within the IT sector. Among other things, she worked for more than eight years at Microsoft, where she was involved in the launch of CRM Online (Microsoft Dynamics). She then played a key role at Cisco in the development of an Account-Based Marketing strategy and the regional rollout of global campaigns, among other things. Within the various roles, she led international teams within the EMEA region.
Focus on enterprise, AI and regional growth
Brandsen’s appointment aligns with Digital Realty’s strategic direction to further build its position as a leading data center partner for enterprise customers. The opening of new data centers BRU4 (Brussels) and AMS11 (Amsterdam), as well as long-term growth strategies in Stockholm and Copenhagen, underscore the focus on expanding capacity, connectivity and innovation in Northern Europe.
“With her broad experience in international marketing and knowledge of the technology sector, Annemarie is a valuable addition to our team,” said Vincent in ‘t Veld, Managing Director Europe North at Digital Realty. “The enterprise market is developing rapidly. Marketing is indispensable to make our solutions visible and even better aligned with customer issues and our IT partners’ solutions.”
Annemarie Brandsen is looking forward to the future: “I came on board at a growth phase of Digital Realty. With the many developments and issues in data, data sovereignty and AI, I see plenty of opportunities. For me, marketing is not a one-size-fits-all, but a strategic choice: what do we want to tell, to whom and most importantly why? Each target audience and industry requires its own approach – from finance to public organizations. I look forward to continuing to build our visibility with the team and contribute to Digital Realty’s ambitious growth with targeted campaigns.”
