Day Wireless Systems (DWS) announced the strategic acquisition of Sigma Wireless, a leading Irish provider of wireless communications and national public safety networks. This acquisition significantly expands DWS’s global footprint and strengthens its capabilities in mission-critical wireless infrastructure for data centers, cloud operators, and high-availability facilities.
Sigma Wireless has a long-standing reputation for delivering resilient, scalable wireless solutions—including two-way radio and LTE-based private networks—across key sectors such as emergency services, utilities, and transport. Most notably, the nationwide public safety communications network for Ireland, reflecting its expertise in high-reliability, low-latency infrastructure—capabilities highly aligned with the needs of today’s data center ecosystems.
Both DWS and Sigma have collaborated for years on radio frequency (RF), distributed antenna systems (DAS), and wireless connectivity deployments across critical infrastructure and data center environments. Their combined portfolio now enables delivery of end-to-end wireless solutions at global scale, supporting indoor/outdoor coverage, secure private LTE networks, and integrated systems for Tier III+ facilities and edge deployments.
“This acquisition represents a major leap in our ability to serve the rapidly evolving data center and critical infrastructure sectors worldwide,” said Lane Falkner, CEO of Day Wireless Systems. “Sigma’s leadership in LTE-based private wireless networks and its proven success in managing national-scale communications systems directly complements our growth strategy in high-performance, mission-critical environments.”
Founded in 1991, Sigma Wireless brings over 60 highly skilled professionals and decades of experience in designing, deploying, and managing wireless and two-way radio systems. The company’s proven ability to maintain always-on, secure communication networks positions it as a key partner for next-gen data center operations requiring resilient connectivity and operational continuity.
“Joining the DWS family opens a new chapter for Sigma, one that enhances our ability to support global clients with the most advanced wireless and edge-ready communications solutions,” said Ian McCullagh, CEO of Sigma Wireless. “Together, we’re uniquely positioned to meet the demands of modern data center infrastructure.”
Sigma Wireless will retain its brand and leadership team while leveraging DWS’s resources to scale its service delivery across Europe and beyond. Integration efforts are already underway, ensuring a seamless transition for customers and partners in both organizations.
