Global Technology Risk Forum: Accelerating Risks, Transformational Challenges – by Marsh

Each year technology risk leaders gather in Silicon Valley for a two-day forum on the key risks and trends affecting technology companies. This year, the event is moving to a virtual format and will feature discussions of the top risks for technology companies in 2021 as well as tips for navigating the transitioning insurance market. The two-day event will be held March 23-24 from noon – 2 p.m. eastern (4 p.m. – 6 p.m. GMT). Registration is now open. Even if you can’t attend the presentations live, replays will be sent to everyone who registers so be sure to sign up so you don’t miss this valuable information.

What Will You Learn?

March 23 Day 1 Topics
We will take a deeper look at the most important risks affecting technology companies today. Tom Quigley, US Technology Practice Leader, will review the top risks identified by global technology leaders in the 2021 Marsh Global Technology Industry Risk Study. Learn how the pandemic affected key risks for technology companies and the steps that technology companies are taking to respond to those risks.

Following the overview of the risks, a panel of technology company risk leaders who will provide their perspective on the top risks identified in the study and how they are addressing those risks.

March 24 Day 2 Topics
On the second day of the conference, we turn our attention to the transitioning insurance market and it’s effect on technology companies. We will explain the trends in the insurance market and why the market is shifting. Attendees will then have a chance to select three of five 20-minute breakout sessions to more closely review key risks. All breakout sessions will be available for replay if attendees want to review all five sessions. Those sessions will be:

Solving for new risks – Casualty challenges and opportunities.
Rethinking values at risk – Redesigning property programs from the ground-up.
Executive protection – Big bets colliding with unsustainable costs.
Deconstructing Cyber – Boundless loss scenarios meeting underwriting scrutiny.
Reimagining risk transfer – Taking back control through alternative risk solutions
The second day will close with a look to the future of risk management. Tammy Franklin, Marsh’s Chief Digital, Data and Analytics Officer, will review how digital tools can reduce risk management pain, provide data insights and open the door for new risk management tools.
